Pressure Washing vs. Soft Washing: Which Does Your Building Need?

When to use high pressure, when to use low pressure, and why the wrong choice can damage stucco, roofs and paint.

Both methods clean, but they do it in different ways. Picking the right one protects your property and gives longer-lasting results.

Pressure washing

High-pressure water, often heated, is the right tool for hard surfaces like concrete, pavers, dumpster pads and parking decks. It removes gum, oil, grease and ground-in dirt.

Soft washing

Soft washing uses low pressure with cleaning solutions that kill mildew, algae and bacteria. It's the safe choice for stucco, EIFS, painted walls, roofs and other surfaces that high pressure can etch or crack.

Most commercial jobs use both

A typical retail center might get a soft wash on the building and a hot-water pressure wash on the sidewalks and dumpster pad. We plan each surface separately and put it all in one quote.
